First launch show for Zohar Banai’s debut album!

Zohar Banai’s songs were written gradually over time. They explore feelings of disconnection, a desire to remain in a childlike world, criticism of aggression and forcefulness, and a simple wish to grow closer. Some are diary-like, direct, and unadorned, while others are gentle songs, like a nighttime letter to someone both close and distant. Banai’s delivery is authentic and effortless, carrying a longing to comfort and soften, a feeling that lingers even after the song ends. Now these songs are leaving the room and stepping onto the stage for the first time with a full band.

The album, produced by David Beit Halachmi, remains intimate: few distractions, plenty of space for the words. After opening for her father, Ehud Banai, at Barby Tel Aviv and receiving enthusiastic responses from the audience, Banai now arrives for her first launch performance with the band that has taken shape around these songs in recent months, alongside her acoustic performances.
