Some Jazz – a new jazz concert series at The Yellow Submarine, featuring some of the finest ensembles and musicians in the country. Every Wednesday, Some Jazz at The Submarine, with a modest admission fee.

A tribute show to the great Israeli jazz icon of the 1970s – Rimona Francis!

Our ensemble is made up of six young female musicians, graduates of music schools, most of whom serve in military bands. The group is led by Ella Avital (bass) and Liri Shimoni (keyboards). We fell in love with Rimona’s music during high school and dreamed of creating a tribute performance for this incredibly important singer. The two of us spent nearly a year researching, writing, and arranging the complex music you will hear in the show.

The ensemble’s lead vocalist, who will perform Rimona’s virtuosic melodies, is Alma Maimon De Razón, a graduate of the music program at Alon High School, a contestant on The Next Star 2025, and a singer in the Central Command Band.

The concert series is held in honor of Judi Shostack and her family, with the support of the Jerusalem Foundation.
