Jason Rosenblatt’s – “Mi Yodeah?” –  produced with the assistance of the Lottery Council for Culture and Art

Ground-breaking harmonica player and renowned composer Jason Rosenblatt (harmonica, piano, vocals) has been delivering compelling, not-so-traditional Eastern European Jewish music to the masses since 2002. His latest project, “Mi Yodeah?”, is an enchanting and ornate multi-movement tone poem inspired by Jewish liturgical music and Israeli folk song blended with elements of jazz, rock and the avant-garde.

Performed with daring and dexterity by some of the finest musicians on Israel’s jazz scene, the ensemble featuring Ilya Siltsoff (guitar), Opher Schneider (bass), Daniel Raitsin (drums) and Rachel Lemisch (trombone) paints a luscious soundscape of Israel through the eyes and ears of a new oleh.
