A quarter for Africa is a multi-faceted band that combines pure Afro-Arab jazz with a modern and distinctive groove.
Yakir Sasson, a well-known music producer and saxophonist, is leading the project.
The show is a cultural bridge that provides an experience of world music from the neighborhoods of Morocco, Yemen, Israel, or anywhere that has a sense of groove and life.
Sasson founded the group in 2014, After completing academic studies and numerous productions in the fields of pop, jazz, and Arabic music in Israel and abroad.
After performing on many stages in Israel, the band members released their first album ( The Layback), which was well received by radio stations and music critics in Israel and around the world, with hits such as “Tahabil Tirbach,” “Connect,” and “The Layback” (the joint single with Ravid Plotnik ).

A quarter for Africa’s second African album, Falafel Pop, was released in 2020.
