The International Music Showcase Festival is celebrating 10 years of exporting and promoting some of the finest Israeli music to the world. Music showcase festivals take place all over the globe, aimed at sharing local music with top representatives from the global music industry.
Israel’s musical showcase is produced by the Yellow Submarine and is thought to be one of the finest in the world. 

We are off to the #2 night with 6 performances:

Itai Kriss & Omri Mor Duo

Piano virtuoso Omri Mor (Avishai Cohen Trio, Karim Ziad) joins Grammy-nominated flutist Itai Kriss for a musical exploration ranging from the Maghreb through Havana to New York City. The two versatile and masterful performers interpret original compositions as well as Jazz classics in a exhilarating program that is soulful, innovative and deeply enjoyable.

Yshai Afterman Quintet

Moving between contemporary jazz to Middle Eastern and Mediterranean groove, between vocal harmonies to striking solos, Yshai Afterman’s new project “Naomi” is an original statement that challenges musical borders.

Ron Minis Trio

Multi-instrumentalist musician Ron Minis is launching a European Tour following his latest release Pale Blue Dot. After producing and participating in various projects, mainly in the punk, noise and metal genres, Ron is bringing his experiments and experiences into the jazz Piano trio format.

Ron gained significant viral success last year with a series of critically acclaimed YouTube videos. He demonstrated how a piano can be used as a guitar and become a new playground for musical adventures, combining state of the art technology and sound effects. These videos exposed Ron to millions of viewers around the world, forming a wide global fan-base.

Now, for the first time, Ron is delivering this wild spectacle to the live stage. While Ron Minis has been classically trained as a pianist since the age of six, he later added electric guitar to his arsenal of music studies and drums. Over the years he was able to combine many of his musical passions in multiple projects, playing and touring the world, and creating a truly unique voice.

Liraz

Singer, songwriter and actress Liraz Charhi fuses modern sounds and beats with ethnic flavours from her Persian roots. In her groundbreaking musical project, Liraz has managed to embody her own personal story and the lost voices of Iran, through Iranian counter-revolutionary songs, in the Farsi language.

Daniel Zamir & Shalos

A special collaboration between SHALOSH, the ‘ACT’ signed piano trio that has been exploding in the international jazz scene, with more than 300 concerts on Europe’s biggest stages, and Daniel Zamir, one of Israel’s most influential and important musicians in the past 20 years, who created a whole genre of Jewish Jazz in Israeli music. 

The collaboration will play compositions by SHALOSH and Zamir, combining SHALOSH’s unique sound combining jazz, rock classical and electronic music, with Zamir’s fierce and intense improvisations.
