Under Guidelines“Against Regulations” is a unique performace platform created in the Yellow Submarine for the audience-free days of the pandemic.
Due to its success, we’ve decided to keep it going, while beginning to bring in small live audiences.
“Against Regulations” – a series of intimate, acoustic shows led by host and interviewer David Haim Saidov III – The Submarine’s artistic director. The series manages to touch upon and expose just a bit of musicians’ lives beyond the music – giving us stories, tastes of life, laughter and insight – about music, but above all about the journey of life.
Performances are streamed live and will be available on-demand on the YSM Facebook page, as well as the pages of participating artists.
This time around we host Maya Belsitzman – Cello player, vocalist, composer and arranger, working with her creative partner and significant other Matan Ephrat – Drummer, percussionist, session musician and producer – in a special show for Covid times.

Maya Belsitzman – Cello player, vocalist, composer and arranger, working with her creative partner and significant other Matan Ephrat – Drummer, percussionist, session musician and producer – in a special show for Covid times. During the first lockdown in Israel (Mar 2020), while the streets lay silent, Maya and Matan sat in their Jaffa apartment and decided to play songs they love at home. They recorded these songs in an improvised studio built in one of the rooms of their apartment, and suddenly they had in their hands a brand new album of Hebrew classics which they named “INDOORS”. For this performance, Maya and Matan will play a selection from their wide repertoire, including: Original material alongside Hebrew classics recorded over the last year, instrumental pieces, and well-known standards – the great love songs of the 20th century. These pieces will all be presented in original new arrangements and adaptaions, giving the couple’s view on life, love, and everything in between.
