Cohen (Michael Cohen, 34), is a rapper, producer, DJ and owner of an Israeli hip-hop label (he prefers to simply call himself a “hip-hop artist”), and one of the most well-known and respected figures in the genre, and in the young Israeli music scene in general.
After years of working as part of the duo Cohen@Mushon and producing for the best artists in the scene, his debut album came out this summer to rave reviews (Mako: “This album, his most refined work, establishes his place as the Israeli hip hop artist we have always dreamed of”). The single “Shminiot” entered the “Editors’ Choice” on 88fm and an evening playlist in Galgalatz.
After a sold out album release show, Cohen is going on a tour around the country, backed by DJ Mesh on the turntables and Yonatan Meltzer on the keyboards, performing the album and more.
