A new musical adventure for the two talented musicians, who are also close friends.
Avishai Cohen is regarded as one of the world’s best and most influential trumpeters, as well as a prolific composer and leader of various musical ensembles. Yonathan Avishai, a pianist and composer, is unquestionably one of his generation’s most distinctive voices.
The musical path of each of the two led them to significant achievements in the international arena in the jazz scene.
The many years of friendship has accompanied them since their days as teenagers, through the group Third World Love, playing together in Avishai Cohen’s quartet and recently resulted in Playing The Room, a joint duet album released on the prestigious jazz label ECM RECORDS  that has received wall to wall praise and millions of listens.
In the last year, the two broadened their musical communication and, for the first time, set out to explore and compose new material together.
In the new show, the two will perform new pieces from their collaborative work, as well as songs from their joint album, which is a tribute to their favorite musicians, including Ornette Coleman, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Sasha Argov, and many others.
