Non-standard Project returns for a new season – the first show with Amal Murkus – أمل مرقس

We’ll be kicking off our non-standard series of unconventional jazz performances this October; each month will star a different guest musician!

Our first  featured musician is singer/creator Amal Morcos, who will join a jazz ensemble (for two concerts– the first at the Yellow Submarine in Jerusalem and the second at the Azor in Tel Aviv). Amal, a Palestinian-born singer, is a cultural researcher, actor, moderator, and editor of TV and radio programs on the subject of culture and the arts. She was born and lives in Kfar Yasif, and graduated from the Zvi Performing Arts school in 1990. Since then she has produced and created with its partner musicians to record five hundred performances in different styles and themes.
