Jazz @ The Submarine: Nuphar Fey Trio

The new music from Israeli musician Nuphar Fey is a multi-layered, energetically fluent experience, moving thoughtfully between charged groove and spiritual depths.

Like water, the music presents outbursts and changing colors, moods and intensity of flow.
Genre-wise crossover in her creative path, Fey creates her own musical land to experiment in, clashing between contemporary instrumental jazz, cinematic inspiration and daring alternative-classical.
Creating together with her trio – Yogev Gabay on drums and Daniel Ashkenazy on double bass, the three present an impressively tight unit, expanding the borders between tightly composed pieces and masterfully improvised music.

The debut Album for this project – recorded by the trio and guesting cellist & singer Telalit and percussion master Rony Iwryn – is due to be released during 2018. An E.P from 2017 is currently available online.

Nuphar Fey – piano ; Daniel Ashkenazy – bass ; Yogev Gabay – drums
