The Yellow Submarine-  the Place for Music  

The Yellow Submarine, a multidisciplinary music center,  was founded in 1991 by The  Jerusalem Foundation, in partnership with The Florscheimer Foundation.

The Yellow Submarine aims to promote music, foster musical talent, serve as a meeting point for artist and musicians, and develop talent in the most diverse artistic and creative sense.  The Yellow Submarine – its rehearsal rooms, recording studios, educational programs, performances, shows, and of course, its club, is one of the most successful and prominent venues in Israel.

Over the years, The Yellow Submarine has initiated, developed and produced numerous programs and projects, including:

Music Education Department, which provides high school students with five credits toward their ”bagrut” matriculation, the Youth Bands Project, the Bands Project,  an International Jazz Festival, The Yellow Submarine Band,  a series of televised performances on Channel One, ”Live from The Yellow Submarine”, as well as a program of International Jazz and World Music, developed in partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Yellow Submarine is supported by The Ministry of Culture and Sport, by The Jerusalem Foundation, and by the Jerusalem Municipality.
