Jazz @ The Submarine: The Blues Of Freeborn Women

powerful, bold, beautiful, unabashedly horny and forthcoming about all aspects of life, both good and sad.

Noya Sol fearlessly steps into the shoes of the queen of the Blues, Bessie Smith. She ought to be admired for the sheer audacity of doing s, but then – she also does it in the best way possible: her own way, imbuing the songs with her own personal interpretation, giving a very up-to-date touch to the sounds that, 100 years ago, changed the world, with all due respect and with a liberating sense of here and now.

Moshe Lahav has created a uniquely Israeli phenomenon called Big Tish.

This refreshing show of Israeli songs adds a socially-dynamic aspect to the performances that has become a total cultural phenomenon…

the audience actively participates and builds the character of the show together with Lahav.

At times dramatic and stormy, at times lighthearted and flowing– thousands of Israelis have already been captured by the magic of the songs, performances, elation, and the sense of togetherness, such that they return again and again.

The show has no permanent structure or set of songs; instead, Lahav concocts a show based on his understanding the emerging mood each night.

Lazer Lloyd Live

International recording artist and singer songwriter Lazer Lloyd has been successfully touring strong in the USA and Canada with his signature guitar playing that stirs the soul and his roots style singing and lyrics that open the heart combining rock folk country and blues.

As “Freedom’s Child” was shooting up the Americana chart and “Backstreets” was going viral, Lazer was already on to the next project – recording an album with Eric Paul (Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zandt, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson etc) at Ricky Skaggs Studio in Nashville featuring (Michael Rojas on keyboards, Michael Spriggs on rhythm guitar, Eddie Bayers on drums, and bass players Mark Fain and Eli Beaird).

The brilliant band created by Eric and led by Lazer Lloyd produced music that is sheer heaven.  To complete the album, Lazer found inspiration in the red dirt of Oklahoma and Texas working with many times Grammy nominated Chris Bell (Don Henley, Eagles, Erykah Badu, Luther Dickinson, Eric Johnson etc) at Billy Crockett’s Blue Rock Studios in Wimberley with a group of young Tulsa musicians.

The sound achieved by Chris is warm and real and soul transforming.  Music from both the Nashville and Blue Rock Red Dirt sessions will be presented on two albums in 2019 on Lots of Love Records.
